Jon Fleming

Jon Fleming is a healthcare entrepreneur and property developer who formed The Jon Fleming Group, an award-winning business providing tailored care and support services to adults, children, and young people with complex care needs, helping them to remain independent and to live life to the full.

Jon started the business in 2005 with a small loan from The Prince’s Trust and a small home office. With Jon’s leadership, management and focus on delivering high quality care, the business became a success – going from strength to strength – and now has offices Scotland-wide.

In 2021, Jon sold the business and has since formed Kukoon Homes, an energy-efficient housebuilding business that plans to build A Rated homes throughout Scotland. Jon has also formed a fund to offer development funding loans to other developers who want to follow in his footsteps.

In his personal life, Jon lives with a neuromuscular muscle wasting condition but does not let this deter him from having a full and enjoyable life. His young family and full work schedule keep him busy, and he is keen to see other people with disabilities pursuing their dreams and becoming more involved in the business world.

Views from the board

  • Having heard investors that I know well, actively stepping back from investing in the Scottish economy, I fear for the future and am urging business leaders to share their support for Scotland to remain in the Union of the United Kingdom. It will only be by strength of voice and an evidenced based case that we will be able to defend the will of Scottish businesses of all sizes to remain in the Union.

  • Patriotism is a love for your country and as a proud Scot I have spent my career helping to build economic opportunities and in attracting investment. I am also proud to be British and passionately want the United Kingdom to endure.  To succeed in that aim, we must acknowledge that remaining part of the Union is a key lynchpin in growing Scotland’s wealth.
